Hi, I’m Bill Andrews. I’m an Air Force Colonel and I teach military history and strategy at the National War College in Washington DC. For most of the past 25 years I’ve flown fighters over the US, Europe, and Middle East. I’m a first-year PhD student at GMU, interested in modern American military history.
This blog is a “trail log” of my current educational journey. Like a through hiker, I’m in for the long haul, but determined to enjoy the trip!
I love to get outdoors with my family or the Boy Scouts. The picture above is a picture of my 12-year old son Patrick enjoying the view from Old Rag Mountain just east of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
